The Breakfast Barn is as close as you are going to get to real diner food in Columbus. We went for breakfast, I had steak and eggs, my wife had ham omelet. We both had home fries. My steak was cooked exactly the way I ordered it, and the home fries never saw the inside of a freezer - they were cut fresh from real potatoes and fried to crispy perfection. The wife's only complaint was too much ham in omelet! We saw home made french toast and pancakes on their way out that looked great, and the biscuits and gravy looked good too. Service was fast and sweet, with constant refills of drinks. The place is as clean as can be, and as country friendly as any small town diner. Forget those crowded places on High Street, take a short drive to the near southwest side and experience a tasty breakfast at a great price, without waiting in line! (we went Sunday morning at 9, and sat right down). Plenty of parking, too! It's just a mile off Harrisburg Pike on Brown Rd., maybe 3 miles from downtown. Give it a try, and you won't be disappointed.
